Autumn Afternoon in Auburn

September 14, 2019 — I took a short hop from Boeing Field (KBFI) in Seattle to Auburn Municipal (S50) to stay current flying from the PIC seat as I progress through my flight instructor training. There was a bit of weather rolling in — as well as an active TFR for a local sporting event — so the controller was understandably busy trying to safely accommodate everyone.

Once I arrived at Auburn, I ran through some basic hover maneuvers and took a few laps in the pattern. There’s still a chance I might share some of that video in the future, if there’s interest.
